Two blog posts in a day… I think the coffee is getting to me. 😉 But here I am again with even MORE goodness to share!!!

Sydney and I were in the same sorority in college and when she inquired for her wedding I squealed. Not only is she flipping gorgeous, she has the cutest personality. The combination of the two makes my job double easy.

This was my very first time at Rocky’s Lake Estate and I was SO impressed. First, it is gorgeous. But let’s be real, there are a ton of pretty venues in the Atlanta area. But second… their staff was AMAZING. Unmatched. SO helpful. They carted us around all day, never complained about the weather, and were such a joy to be around. I cannot say enough good things.

Funny story… it rained pretty much all day in spurts. Syd + Pete really wanted to keep their ceremony outdoors if possible. The radar finally cleared up for the ceremony hour and everyone was so excited. It was overcast and windy, but if you’re from GA you know that this is a HUGE blessing in the middle of August!! As the officiant pronounced them Mr. + Mrs. and they leaned in to kiss, it started flooding. FLOODING. Seth and I couldn’t stop laughing. I mean, rain is good luck – right?! I thought it was magical… after the camera bags made it to shelter. 😉 How often does something like that happen in the exact moment of a kiss?! It was awesome.

Sydney + Pete, thank you for allowing me to capture your wedding day. It was such an honor and I’m even a little sad that it’s over! Cheers to forever, rain or shine!! 🙂
